Outdoor pavers are porcelain tiles about 20 mm thick with a structured, slip-resistant surface. The extra thickness gives them the breaking load needed to span supports and carry furniture, planters and foot traffic.

  • Dry-laid on gravel or sand, for garden paths and patios.
  • Raised on adjustable pedestals, for terraces and roofs where water must drain underneath.
  • Bonded with adhesive to a screed, for driveways and areas with vehicles.

They need no sealing. Most are declared frost resistant by their makers, but that is a tested property of the tile, not of porcelain as such: for a terrace that freezes, check that the data sheet says so.
